Mary W. Simpson, daughter of Hugh Simpson and Mary Ann Long, was born 4 May 1790 in Pendleton Co., SC.

She married Joseph Hardin 28 August 1822 in Warren Co., KY.
Mary and her husband moved and settled in Clark Co., AR. probably in the year of 1827.
In 1829 Joseph sued Mary for a divorce in Clark Co., AR. Both apparently were divorced as Joseph married Sally Cornelius while Mary married John Coche/Cox 29 August 1841 in Clark Co., AR. The wedding ceremony of Mary and John was performed by James S. Ward, Justice of Peace.
There is no further information on Mary and her family at this time.
